Ehrenfels Castle
Overlooking the Rhine opposite the town of Bingen, the castle once served as a toll collection post of the Archbishops of Mainz. Financed by the State of Hessen, the castle is now being restored to its former design.

Burg Katz
Perched on a craggy slope above the town of St. Goarshausen, the Burg Katz is the most romantic castle on the  Rhine. A Japanese conglomerate bought this castle and is now used as hotel for Japanese tourists.
