Sanssouci Palace. The summer residence of Frederick II (popularly known as Frederick the Great), built between 1745-47. The Sanssouci Palace and the whole vast Sanssouci Park has been added in 1990 to the UNESCO "list of cultural and natural heritages of the world".
 

Potsdam 2
The New Palace. This grand Palace is the most extravagant and luxurious building in Potsdam. It was built in 1763-69 under the direction of Frederick the Great.
